When we first time step into the shop, we feel very comfortable as the the environment is peaceful and quiet. This is the first time we try Black Ball Taiwanese Tea & Dessert, so we follow the recommendation of the waiter in the shop and we order Black Ball Signature which is one of the best dessert in Black Ball Taiwanese Tea & Dessert.

It consist of the crushed ice which pour with the brown sugar syrup, the cooked red bean, signature glass jelly, chewy black pearl (tapioca ball),  homemade taro ball and sweet potato ball.  After this Black Ball Signature need to pour with special creamer, the whole bowl of dessert become more scrumptious. We all like in the heaven to enjoy this cold and sweet dessert in the super hot day.

Do you like to eat hot pot? Do you like to eat super spicy hot pot? Nowadays, people have new ways to eat hot pot. The delicious food today we want to recommend is Spiced Mala Hot Pot in Johor Bahru. 

In Spiced Mala Hot Pot Restaurant, the customers were use buffet style to select what they want to eat. There are a lot of choices for them to choose which includes different types of cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, toufu, seafood and meats. 

There are 7 flavor for the customers which includes no spicy with garlic fried, little spicy, medium spicy, very spicy, extremely spicy, mala soup and clear soup. If you are able and like to eat spicy, we recommend you to choose the mala soup as it is the signature of the restaurant.

The customers just need to choose what they want and put them into a big bowl, then give to the server at the counter. The chef in the kitchen will help them to fried according to the different customers requirement. The special thing in this restaurant is you better share with your friends unless you can finish a so big big big bowl of food.

Hungarian Chimney Ice Cream - Rollney Malaysia

After introducing so many main courses and snacks, today we want to recommend all of food lovers, especially dessert lovers one kind of special dessert which is called Hungarian Chimney Ice Cream from Rollney Malaysia! It was actually opened by three young man who went to Hungary and learned about this Hungarian pastries then bring it into Mount Austin, Johor, Malaysia. This is the first store and the only store now in Malaysia. 

 The store is not too big but it give us a peaceful and tranquil feeling. The environment is white, bright and clean and it give customers a romantic feeling to enjoy the sweetness of desserts.

The chimney cake was made from yeast dough and its surface was sprinkled full of granulated sugar and cinnamon powder. It was twine around the cone shape baking split. Then they will baked until they become shiny golden colour.   

In Rollney, the customers have 2 different options with different prices to select. For RM 15.90, customers can enjoy the chimney cake with soft serve ice ream and one topping. For RM 17.90, customers can enjoy chimney cake with soft serve ice cream and three toppings. There are two types of sauces for customers chosen which includes chocolate sauce and caramel sauce. 

There are a lot of topping for the customers to choose. These includes chocolate roll, KitKat, popcorn, brownie, peanuts and chocolate chips. This is a very good opportunity to attract customers as they are able use their own creativity to customize and decorate what they want to their own chimney ice cream. 

In order to prevent the ice cream leaking out from the cone, there is a chocolate ball at the bottom which give us a small surprise. What a creative idea! Overall, The hot and little crunchy chimney cake is perfectly match with the cold ice cream! Never try never know, what are you still waiting for?

Cheesy Baked Chicken Cutlet with Mushroom Sauce - Anmour Cafe

We were seized with a sudden desire to have western food right after we finished watching the Astro TV movie Ratatouille. Hence, we decided to go one of the good review American restaurant called Anmour café to have our lunch.

The environment is comfortable and there are a lot of classic poster hang on the wall which allow a strong western atmosphere to be created. Before we order, the waiter will serve some small bread with black sauce to us and it was free!

From the menu, we order one of the highly recommend main courses Cheesy Baked Chicken Cutlet with Mushroom Sauces. 

One of the characteristic of this restaurant is that all the main course will combine with any two types of side dish. There are some side dished was prepared for customers to choose such as creamy mash potato, garlic butter rice, fries, potato wedges, coleslaw, sauté vegetable and aglio olio pasta. 

The chicken chop is fried into beautiful golden yellow colour and embrace by the sweet smell as the waiter served it in front of our table. The crumbly cheese on top of the chicken chop make the food more chewy and crunchy. Overall are good and we would recommend you try it!

Myeong Dong BBQ Buffet - Myeong Dong Korean Restaurant

Myeong Dong Korean Restaurant was served Korean BBQ buffet to meet every different Korean food lovers in Johor Bahru. The boss of this Korean restaurant was pure Koreans. 

Except from BBQ buffet, Myeong Dong Korean Restaurant also served a la carte menu such as jja jiang myon, ttokbokki and ginseng chicken soup.

As you can see in the picture, one adult for the BBQ buffet only need RM 22 and for the children cost RM 12. It is the cheapest Korean BBQ restaurant around Taman Mount Austin and I can tell you, it is very worth to eat.

There are different types of meat such as chicken and pork that already seasoned and marinated with different types of ingredients which include spicy chicken, curry pork, wine pork and garlic pork. All of the meat are so fresh and they are all marinated by truly Koreans which can let the customers enjoy and closer to Korean culture.

Apart from this, there are still have many types of appetizer such as pickled cabbage (kimchi), pickled bean sprout, pickled scallion and onion.

There are still not enough if just only eat the meat, if you ever watched Korean drama, you will know it is the MUST to use a big salad leaf to wrap the luscious meat together with kimchi when eating Korean BBQ. Thus, salad leaf will definitely served in the restaurant. Here also served the customers with garlic, chili and also special Korean sauce in order to make the food more scrumptious!

When we talk about Korean culture, do you know that kimchi soup is one of the best in Korean cuisine? You must try the local kimchi soup made by the truly Koreans. Then you will definitely feel the difference especially when the kimchi soup was cook with the rubbery ramen.

After eating so much of food, here is the dessert time! Every customers can get a free ice cream based on their preference. If you are still not enough with the sweet and yummy ice cream, you can still get from the refrigerator and each of them only cost RM 1! It is so cheap!

Palsaik Korean Grill Pork Belly - Palsaik Koran BBQ Restaurant

Hawaiian Chicken Burger - The Taste

The frigid wintry air added mystic to the landscape of Johor Bahru as we are driving our car, hunting for delicious food in Taman Mount Austin. As we been wandering around various kind of restaurant, we instinctively attracted by the western restaurant’s The Taste as it embraced with the sense of Hollywood and offer a grand design to the environment. Hence, we decided to enjoy some food at there.

From the menu, we order their main dishes which is Hawaiian Chicken Burger in 6 cum. It was huge in size yet the staff help us to cut into 4 pieces and put it on our plates and we can’t wait to grab and taste the burger immediately. 

The burger was indeed succulent and enriched by the well combination of fresh vegetables, cutlet, sweet fruit and crunchy bun with butter on in with the exotic sauces as we took the first bite.

We feel totally satisfied by the burger that The Taste restaurant offered. Hence, we highlight this restaurant for the people who seek for comfortable environment and western food. So come on and check this out!
